PROJECT 911

You are acting as a 911 emergency operator in the non-existent state of Redport. Assess the situation, solve problems and interact with victims using your voice.


IDEA

This game is emergency service simulator where you are an operator in the non-existent state of Redport. During the working day, the operator receives calls of varying degrees of importance. By prioritizing important calls and redirecting erroneous or less important calls, the operator accumulates points that can be spent on improving the operator's equipment (address identifier, additional monitors, etc.), which will increase the convenience and speed of tasks completion. All interaction between the operator and the victim is done through speech recognition.


GAMEPLAY

I identify 3 types of incoming calls:

  • Priority calls - generated according to templates with different levels of complexity and operator involvement, for example: kidnapping, taking out a hostage, etc. The victim has a stress level that can be reduced to avoid failure of the rescue. Each rescue begins with the collection of data: car type, car color, car number, direction (in case of kidnapping). The more initial data is received, the higher the chance of a successful rescue. In some cases, the rescue status is independent of the operator and is sent to the base only as it is done.
  • Erroneous calls - Requires redirection to the correct emergency service.
  • Useless calls - jokes of children, drug addiction seizures, personal problems, etc.

Prompt determination of the type of call directly affects the employee's efficiency and the number of points earned per working day. Incorrect call management wastes the operator's time and postpones the solution of potentially more important tasks.

Types of events and key questions:

  • Hostage withdrawal - what; where; how much; armed.
  • Kidnapping – what; where; amount of abducted; armed; type; color; car number; direction.
  • Shooting – what; where; how many; any wounded.
  • Injury - what; where.
  • Fire – what; where; external or internal; class; any wounded.
  • Other.

STORY

The plot component in my project will reveal the dark and difficult past of 911 operator John Anderson. He is a savior who needs to be saved. This plot raises questions of gray morality and becomes a reinforcing point in the realistic and tense setting of the 911 rescue service.

Great game! waiting for the full version. 

The only question it recognizes is " 911 what is your emergency?", whenever I ask "what is your location?" or any other question, the caller doesn't respond.

Windows Speech Recognizer is installed here and I think you faced the "timeout" error caused by a long silence while talking to the victim. If you try to leave less spaces between questions the caller will respond correctly. We are working on this problem
